Meet KAren JArchow

I’ve spent the last two decades exploring what it means to live fully—through the body, the breath, and the brave work of being human.

My path began in the classroom, studying Sports Medicine, Human Physiology, and Sports Psychology. That curiosity pulled me west to the mountains, where my education became embodied—on long rides, in high-alpine air, and eventually through a professional racing career.

Along the way, I founded Vail Valley RIDE, a mountain bike summer camp dedicated to teaching kids that the bike is more than a sport—it's a tool for holistic health. I also held leadership roles in marketing and PR for leading outdoor industry brands, translating my passion for sport into storytelling, community building, and brand development. Yet even at the height of achievement, I felt a deeper pull—a desire to understand why we strive, how we grow, and what it truly means to feel whole.

That call led me to new terrain: breathwork, energy medicine, Kriya, and holistic psychology. A pivotal influence in this chapter has been my ongoing work with Dr. Erica Matluck of Experience Seven Senses, whose teachings and mentorship have profoundly shaped my personal healing and professional path.

I became a Certified Kriya Teacher (via Kia Miller), a Transitions Intelligence Coach (through Modern Elder Academy), and completed intensive coaching training with the Coactive Training Institute. These tools—paired with my lived experience as an athlete, educator, and space-holder—now shape the work I do today.

Through KJ Wellness, I support individuals in reconnecting to themselves through movement, mindfulness, and sport integration. My approach is rooted in the belief that performance isn’t just physical—it’s mental, emotional, and spiritual. Whether I’m guiding a breath session, leading a small group on bikes, or coaching someone through life’s thresholds, the goal is the same: to help you find clarity, ease, and alignment with your truth.

When I’m not mentoring or coaching, you’ll find me running camps for kids through Vail Valley RIDE, leading retreats in wild places, or chasing my own version of freedom—often on two wheels, always close to nature.

KAREN’S QUALIFICATIONS

I embody what I teach—living my work through daily practice, continued study, and personal experience. My foundation in Human Performance and Sports Psychology laid the groundwork, but my path soon took a different direction, leading to a 13-year career as an elite mountain and gravel cyclist. I later became a Certified Kriya Teacher (via Radiant Body Yoga and Kia Miller), a Transitions Intelligence Coach (through the Modern Elder Academy), and completed intensive coaching training with the Co-Active Training Institute. These tools—rooted in both Western science and Eastern energetic traditions—are woven with my lived experience as an athlete, mentor, and space-holder to shape the work I do today.
