Meet Your Guides
Julie Cornelius
Julie is a PMBIA Level 1 and BICP Level 1 & 2 certified mountain bike skills coach with a passion for teaching skills that go beyond the technical—focusing on mindset, overcoming fear, and tuning in to your body's signals when facing obstacles.
With 10 years of experience teaching mountain bike skills, Julie is also the executive director of World Ride, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women globally through mountain biking. She holds a master's degree in nutrition and is passionate about helping others learn to nourish both body and spirit through food, sport, and mindfulness.
Having practiced holistic modalities for much of her life, Julie is thrilled to combine her passions and expertise in the Root to RIDE retreats.
Karen Jarchow
Karen is passionate about mentoring ambitious individuals who are ready to unearth and embody their true selves.
Her journey from elite athlete to mentor taught her the value of holistic well-being.
With a strong foundation in Western studies, including Sports Psychology and Human Physiology, Karen has recently devoted herself to exploring Eastern, energetic approaches to healing. She now specializes in a unique blend of holistic well-being, Kriya, and Cognitive Coaching. This integrated approach has not only evolved her local kids' MTB program, Vail Valley RIDE, but also planted the seed for the creation of Root to RIDE.
